35 at HeART

How does a painting start? Bit by bit. stage by stage, it is built up to where we feel it is complete…enough. No painting is ever REALLY 100% finished.

This painting is called “35 at Heart” because of where the stenciled numbers from the background ended up showing through the heart. It used to be a joke between friends that I would say that I felt inside as if I was still 35 or 36 years old. So in the end it has meaning.

The final photograph on the bottom right was taken by a professional photographer at the Robert McGlaughlin Gallery, in Oshawa, Ontario
